FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: WHAT IS THE BEST WAY FOR MY CHILD TO GET INVOLVED IN NINJA AT THE ACADEMY?
A: We recommend starting with classes. There your child will learn the techniques of obstacle training at the fastest possible pace. Check out the class descriptions and see which class best suits your child!
Q: DOES HE/SHE NEED TO ATTEND EVERY CLASS?
A: No! We offer a low stress way to use your classes. You can purchase a block of classes and they never expire. You may come as frequently as you’d like, or as infrequently as your schedule permits. Classes run year-round. A child can hop in at any time and not feel left behind!
Q: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLASSES AND OPEN PLAY?
A: Open Play is supervised, but not structured. Kids can navigate the obstacles that they want to try. Our helpful staff is always here to guide them during open play hours.
Q: I SEE THAT OPEN PLAY BEGINS AT AGE 5. I HAVE A VERY ACTIVE AND COORDINATED 3 YEAR OLD. MAY THEY PARTICIPATE?
A: No. The Open Play age restriction is not an issue of athleticism. It is an issue of safety. Children that young simply don’t yet have the awareness to know to stay out of the way of other athletes swinging through the air. We pride ourselves on safety, so unfortunately we cannot accommodate any child under age 5 for Open Play. We do, however, offer weekday Mommy & Me play sessions for kids under 5 and weekend NanoNinja classes designed for 2-4 year olds!
Q: ARE SNEAKERS REQUIRED?
A: Yes! Please make sure that your child has clean and dry sneakers every time she/he comes to the facility.
Q: MY CHILD WANTS TO BECOME A COMPETITIVE NINJA! WHERE DO WE START?
A: The Academy offers the following ways for a child to start his/her journey as a competitive ninja:
Kids Obstacle League (KOL) - our friendly, in-house, success driven competition league.
National/International Ninja League Competitions - Hybrid Ninja Academy is proud to be an affiliate gym and will host competitions for FINA and AWG! Team Hybrid Strong members often compete in other leagues such as NNL or UNAA as well!
Q: HOW DOES MY CHILD BECOME A PART OF TEAM HYBRID STRONG?
A: We are proud to be the only ninja warrior gym in Western New York that does not charge a fee to become a member of our competition team. All you have to do is let Patrick know that your child is interested in joining our travel team and we’ll suit your child up in the black and neon!
